Description

Amoxicillin + Clavulanic Acid (250 mg + 62 mg per 5 mL) is an oral suspension used primarily in pediatric patients to treat bacterial infections such as tonsillitis, pneumonia, bronchitis, otitis media (ear infections), sinusitis, skin infections, and UTIs. Amoxicillin, a penicillin-class antibiotic, inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, while Clavulanic Acid enhances its effectiveness by blocking beta-lactamase enzymes that cause resistance. The suspension is typically given two to three times daily as prescribed by a doctor, and the dosage depends on the child’s weight.
