Description

Anti-Rh Immunoglobulin (1500 IU / 5 mL), also known as Rh (D) Immune Globulin, is a blood-derived antibody injection used to prevent Rh sensitization in Rh-negative pregnant women carrying an Rh-positive fetus. It helps prevent hemolytic disease of the newborn (HDN) by neutralizing fetal Rh-positive red blood cells that may enter the mother’s bloodstream. This injection is typically administered at 28 weeks of pregnancy and within 72 hours after delivery if the baby is Rh-positive. It is also given after miscarriage, abortion, ectopic pregnancy, or any event involving fetal-maternal blood mixing.
